Who said owls were wise?

R & B are playing in the hall outside Mom & Dad’s room, where the still-unpacked-suitcases from our most recent trip to visit Oma & Opa are lying open, their contents spilling out.   B has obviously located one of Oma’s gifts to Mom.

B – You can’t tell us what to do.  You’re not our teacher.  You’re a wooden owl!
